Ukrainian families sheltered in new homes

Eight affordable new build homes are completed in Tansley village in the Derbyshire Dales.

We have been working in partnership with NCHA and Derbyshire Dales District Council to deliver eight new homes as part of a five year contract to increase affordable housing in the area.

All eight homes in Fern Close are part of a brand new development on the edge of Tansley village near Matlock. Six are social rent properties – three of which are currently sheltering refugees from war-torn Ukraine – and the other two are shared ownership.

New residents Max and Julia, who fled from Mariupol, commented: "The girls like it here and it's a very good area. We are safe. We don't worry about life here, so it's fine. The house is fantastic - we are very happy about this. The United Kingdom has been very helpful for Ukrainian families."

The vital homes are a good size for growing families and energy efficient, making them more affordable to heat and run.

We have provided development and contract management services for these new builds. Please contact us if our expertise could assist you in reaching your housing targets.
