Award-winning design
Farnborough Road, Clifton wins Regeneration and Restoration Project of the Year
We’re proud to announce that the Farnborough Road, Clifton development, designed for NCHA, won Regeneration and Restoration Project of the Year at the Insider Media East Midlands Property Awards 2025.
This prestigious recognition celebrates the transformation of a disused college site into a vibrant, multi-use community, delivering affordable homes, supported living, independent accommodation for older people, and a purpose-built workplace for NCHA.
Led by Mike Price, Senior Architect at Pelham, the project exemplifies thoughtful regeneration, environmental sensitivity, and inclusive design.
“This was a rare opportunity to create something truly integrated, where homes, workspaces, and community facilities come together in a way that feels natural and connected,” said Mike. “We’re proud to have designed a place that reflects NCHA’s values and brings lasting benefit to the Clifton community.”
The success of the project was made possible through close collaboration with our delivery partners: Geda Construction, Chord Consult, and BSP Consulting, whose expertise and commitment helped bring the vision to life.
Design highlights include:
- Green belt-sensitive layout with BREEAM Excellent buildings
- Living roofs, solar panels, and air source heat pumps
- Adaptive reuse of existing structures to reduce environmental impact
- Biodiversity-led landscaping and pedestrian-friendly routes
- A workplace designed to sit at the heart of the community it serves
We’re honoured to have played a key role in this transformative development and extend our congratulations to everyone involved.
