60 new flats designed for YMCA Derbyshire

Pelham have worked with YMCA Derbyshire on various sites across Derbyshire to provide new supported housing solutions. This is the latest project to get through planning, designed specifically for young people in work, education/training or leaving their family home.

The development will be on the former derelict Rolls Royce estate off Cotton Lane, in Allenton. We have permission for a brand new single three-storey block of 60 one-bedroom flats. Each flat will be self-contained, having one bedroom and an en-suite bathroom, as well as an open plan kitchen, dining and living room.

The flats have been designed for young people entering the employment market with low salaries in mind. They will be easy to run and maintain and built to high standards to keep energy usage low.

YMCA Derbyshire says it intends to deliver "genuinely affordable homes for young people". They have partnered with Tanbry for the build, which is expected to be complete in 2026.
