Repurposing old office space

Our plans for 82 new affordable homes in a partially disused industrial unit in Nottingham has received the green light from Nottingham City Council’s planning committee.

The new homes will replace part of the Virgin office site at Diamond Plaza, off Daleside Road in Colwick, Nottingham.

A mix of affordable rent and shared ownership, the scheme will consist of 40 one bed apartments and 42 two and three bed houses.

The site has sat virtually empty since 2018. Development of the scheme will begin with demolition of the majority of the existing Virgin offices, with one small office building to remain in use.

The scheme has been designed by Pelham’s architectural team and will be brought to life by our development team for client Nottingham Community Housing Association. We’re delighted that this land will be repurposed to provide affordable homes for local people.

Work will begin on site by mid-2022, with a view to complete the homes by late 2023 / early 2024.

It’s an exciting proposition that will transform a currently disused area of the city. It forms part of our commitment to build 420 new homes across the East Midlands each year for the next five years.
